Brands Hatch Round 2

Round 2 of the British Superbike Championship led Cameron and the Jones Dorling Racing team to the iconic Brands Hatch race circuit. With a wet Free Practice 1, Cameron went out with an objective of staying on the bike whilst trying to gather useful information. The weather looked slightly better going into FP2 so Cameron was looking forward to putting in some dry laps leading into qualifying the following day. Conditions were at the beast they had been the entire weekend but unfortunately, Cameron was unable to capitalize on his favored conditions leading him to qualify 20th. However, he was still content with making a good start to the race. “Going into the race I felt confident that given the opportunity I would be able to get away with the group fighting for the top 10, but unfortunately I got a bad start and was caught battling for a top 15 position ultimately finishing 16th. All in all, I feel like I have learned a lot from this weekend and I’m ready to take what we have learned into the Oulton Park test and then the race meeting”.
