Donington Park Round 3:

Round 3 of the British Superbike championship took us to Donington Park national circuit which is a fast flowing Circuit. The weekend started positive with consistent top 10 finishes in practice. However, problems were encountered with the brakes on my Yamaha r6  in warm up which unfortunately continued into the race. This meant the best result that could be salvaged was 11th.

Brands Hatch GP Round 4:

Following a frustrating round at Donington came the famous Brands Hatch GP circuit which is favoured amongst many riders. Building session by session, gaining confidence with the bike I managed to qualify 9th on the grid for the race. I was pleased with this as the pace was high and I knew if the race was dry I would have been fighting at the sharp end again. Unfortunately, Sunday saw some of the worst conditions of the year with it raining non-stop throughout the day. I knew i wasn’t the strongest in the wet but pushed through to finish in 13th position.

Knockhill Round 5:

Knockhill is known for being a hit and miss weekend in Scotland, but the weather was looking good following Friday’s free practice sessions. Again came the rain for Sunday’s race, which was disappointing as my pace for a dry race looked strong, but we battled through the tough conditions to claim another top 15 finish in 13th.

Snetterton Round 6:

As Snetterton is one of my favourite tracks on the calendar, I was really looking forward to get going. FP1  and FP2 started really strong being in the top 2 and showing good pace ready for qualifying. During qualifying i was able to put in a solid first few laps before the rain came at the end of the session, which meant I wasn’t able to build on the last few laps and go quicker, but still managed to end up 6th. Then for the race there was a horrible incident on the warm up lap involving a number of riders. The seriousness of this incident meant the race was moved to the end of the day. I didn’t get the greatest of starts but fought through to take a solid 6th place.
