Midseason Update: Cameron Fraser Racing

 In News

The 2024 race season has been a thrilling journey so far, especially with the new Suzuki 750 machine. Starting the year without any pre-season testing due to budget constraints, we dove straight into the first round of the British Supersport Championship at Navarra. Despite the initial challenges, it was beneficial to log many laps, mainly on old rubber. When it came to the races, new tires allowed us to push harder and compete effectively.

Each round of the championship has seen us in contention for points, consistently making positive strides with the bike. There are still a few aspects of the latest electronics that I need to fully master to feel completely at home on the bike, but much of the adaptation process is muscle memory from my four years riding the GP2.

At Brands Hatch GP, we made significant changes to the bike, experimenting with the suspension, adjusting the rear ride height, and altering the bike’s geometry. These adjustments paid off, enabling us to start the weekend on a strong note. Although a minor issue in FP2 caused us to miss a few laps, we still progressed to Q2, qualifying 16th on the grid for the weekend’s first race. Sunday’s race was particularly exciting, featuring a fierce battle with a group of over eight riders, ultimately finishing 16th in Supersport, narrowly missing out on points.

Next up is Thruxton, the fastest track in the UK and one of my personal favorites. I’m eagerly looking forward to getting back on my bike and continuing to push for better results.

Stay tuned for more updates and thank you for your support!
